but I doubt I'll be doing this at such a rate forever, I'm just so terrible with editing and computer programs in general, so I'm working on "practice" haha.

In other news, my upcoming drawing project is going up soon and I wanted to sort of talk about it. It's an image of a bald eagle having "sex" or mating I suppose, with a beaver, and it has to do with National Identity, as we associate these animals, and mainly, the sordid (if you will) relationship between Canada and the US. I just think the idea of sex and relationships, (lust, emotions, complication) has a strong correlation to how Canada and the US has this divide, and yet not? Anyways, I thought I'd introduce that before it's up, and I'd love to know what people think once it's up. :)

One more thing, I'm going home (BC) which is as specific as I get haha, for Christmas break, so that's cool, and hopefully I can do some of my own thing for the break so as to not keep posting assignments haha. We shall see, I might just want to rest with eggnog and kitties :) yay.

Yo, I'm Jayne. I'm a University art student, and have been drawing since before I could print the letter A. I have a boyfriend who's also my best friend. I love lots of geeky stuff and hate lots of normal "20something" stuff. I love to be the size I am, I love to love the size I am and I love to make art about size. I am in a transition phase in terms of technical skill, so I have a tendency to nitpick my own work, so CRITIQUE, I appreciate it. My ultimate goal as an artist is to reach as many people as I can with body image issues or hesitations towards being open about being a fat admirer. I draw (my major) paint (beginnnner) explore photography (beginner) and make ceramics (beginner, and surprised about how much it rules). Some useless facts to know about me: I love Spider-Man...evvverything, and I can't think of anything worse right now that that morning alarm going off...BLAH.

You're gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of "fat acceptance" art in general - usually it seems to be promoting morbid obesity and frankly it really puts me off. But your self-portraits are an exception to the rule; you look healthy and in proportion and most importantly, happy and confident. Well done, keep up the great work!

hmmm... so i just commented on one of ur pics... and later i remembered the name of a paintor. I really like how he paints. His name is Fernando Botero, maybe you can google him and see some of his work. I think u will like it :)
